High Hopes Challenge #10!!!

Sorry that I didn't post yesterday. We all got up super early and headed out to the stores to do some Christmas shopping. I had very little done before today and let's say I've put a dent in it now!!

Then when we got home, we visited with my parents for a bit who came down this way to do some shopping too. After that, I got busy preparing for today's Stamp and Scrapbook Sale!!! Yipppeeeee!!

Anyhoo, today's High Hopes Challenge is brought to you by the wonderfully talented Aussie stamper, Amy!!! I simply adore her colouring and her style!! Her challenge for you this week is to use metal on your design! You can use metal brads, metal charms, metal hardware, metal wire, even the faux metal technique if you're feeling ambitious!!

For my card, I've decided to use Woodland Santa again. He is just so happy and joyful, don't you think? I of course, pulled out my Be Merry dp again (I think it's my fave Christmas paper this year). I coloured the image in using my Copic markers and added Stardust Stickles to the snow and his hat. The card base is Regal Rose and the accent cardstocks are Cool Caribbean and Pink Pirouette. The sketch I used was this week's sketch challenge on SCS. I added some white satin ribbon across the middle and tied it in a bow, then pop dotted the main image overtop.

For the metal part of the challenge I added some silver brads in two of the corners and used some silver hodgepodge hardware to frame the sentiment which was stamped on some of the patterned paper. Ain't he cute?? Real men do wear pink, you know. *giggle*

Well, wish me luck on my sale today....I hope a lot of people come because I really don't want to put it all away!!!

My Feet Dance.....

You may have guessed that I have a weakness for cute images. And I already have quite a few *cough* cute stamps. But when I saw an older High Hopes image used by my friend Ana Wohlfart, I knew that I HAD to have it!! She just rocks these adorable images!!

I just adore Leaping Juliette!! I made this simple card using Orchid Opulence for the card base, Cool Caribbean for the sentiment layer and the dp is Euphoria by Basic Grey. I stamped Juliette on Wausau bright white cardstock and coloured her in using my Copic markers. I added some ribbon that was sent to me by a secret sister, pop dotted the sentiment and added a felt flower by Heidi Swapp, which I sewed the BG button to and attached with a glue dot. So cute!

Well, I have four days off in a row now....and I really need it!! I am busy collecting all my sale items today and pricing everything. I'm going to try to stamp something....then I have to pick Emileigh up from school and we are both getting our hair cut. Hope you have a fun day too!!

Merry and Bright Lizzie!!

I have another new Whiff of Joy image for you today!!! This design features Lizzie with Muff which is from the latest release of WOJ stamps! She's available now and if you can believe it, she's even on SALE!!

In case you couldn't tell, I'm really lovin' the Be Merry dp by My Mind's Eye!! The colours are so pretty and fun and I've been using it a lot on my Christmas cards this year.

I stamped Lizzie on Wausau bright white cardstock and coloured her in with coordinating Copic markers. The card base is a 5x5 square of Regal Rose and the accent cardstock is Cool Caribbean. The sketch that I used was the Whiff of Joy challenge for last week....I know, I'm late!! Anyway, I added some pink organdy ribbon, some buttons and the sentiment is by WOJ too.

The little candy cane charm that you see is actually a charm from some wine glass doodads that I picked up at some sale and I just took all the winter charms off the rings and I'm using them on my cards!! Cool idea, right??

I finished off the card by adding a touch of sparkle to the designs on her outfit and to the snow with my Stardust Sakura gel pen!

Well, I'm working again today but then I have 4 days off in a row. That should give me some time to get everything together, arranged and priced for my stamp sale on Sunday!! Plus I have a gazillion release samples to work on!! Yikes! Have a stampin' good day!!

Peace on Earth Tilda!

In between working at the library, running my teenager around and taking care of the house etc., I am also getting ready for my Super Stamp and Scrapbook Sale this weekend!! I am going through my whole craft room, which is a small spare bedroom and I can't believe all the 'stuff' that I have packed in here! Let's just say that I hope a lot of people come....and that they bring friends!!

Today's card features a lovely new Tilda in her long winter cap. The card base is a 6x6 Baja Breeze square with River Rock, Soft Sky and Heidi Grace dps. I stamped Tilda on Wausau bright white cardstock, coloured her with my Copics and cut her out. The layer she is pop dotted on was cut out with my new Curved Rectangle Nesties and the sentiment is by Papertrey.

I added some new wide Baja Breeze ribbon and layered a strip of the River Rock ribbon over top after threading it through a Hodgepodge ribbon slider. I added some new fancy SU brads on the main layer, pop dotted it, added brads in each corner and then added some silver glitter around the frame of the main layer.

Well, I had a super crummy day at work yesterday and I can't WAIT to go back......can you feel the sarcasm??! Hope you have a stampin' good day!!

Make a Christmas Wish Tonight!!

Okay, ya know how sometimes a card just turns out BETTER than you expected that it would??? Well, that's this card for me!!!

I've been dying to play with this Follow the Stars stamp since I got it a couple of weeks ago! My friend Anna made a gorgeous card for a HH Challenge and ..... I HAD to have it!! Now, of course mine is nothing like hers....we have totally different styles (I told myself I wouldn't compare.....Crissy says 'No comparsies, no comparsies!'), not better or worse, just totally different styles.....although I totally wanna be Anna when I grow up!! haha!! Anyhoooooo, she MADE me get this stamp and I'm so glad!

I stamped the image on Wausau bright white cardstock, drew in the snow and used my new Nesties to cut it out. Then I coloured the image in using my Copic markers. The card base is a 6x6 square of Baja Breeze and the dps are all by Heidi Grace. I played around with the layout, stamped the sentiment by Papertrey on there, added some Making Memories snowflake brads and then broke in my new stitched Baja Breeze ribbon! I pop dotted the image and then added Stardust Stickles to the snow, his coat fur and the star!!

I'm super happy with it! *sigh* Happy stampin' day for me! And you have one too!!!

Amy R's Wardrobe....and Sentiments!

When I said Amy's Wardrobe, did you think I was talking about what Amy wears everyday while she's stampin'?? (If she's like me, she wears her pj pants and a sweatshirt!) Naaaaah!! I'm talking about her new stamp sets!! These ones are called Wardrobe and Wardrobe Sentiments!!
It's so fabulous how they coordinate and the sentiments are really awesome!! Here is a card I made yesterday featuring the chic dress from the Wardrobe set and I just LOVE this sentiment, don't you??

I stamped the dress on Wausau bright white and then again on some SEI dp and cut it out to paper piece. I cut out and embossed the main layer using my new Curved Rectangle Nesties and then airbrushed around the dress while the die was still on it using my Copic airbrush. Leaving the die on left the outside frame white.

The card base is Close to Cocoa and the matting layer is from Bazzill and the satin ribbon is from Club Wedd at Target. Do you love the paper flower at the bottom?? I found them in the dollar store in the wedding/floral section!! They are each on a single wire, so I trimmed the wire down, threaded it through a small hole that I punched in the dp and taped it down on the other side!

Be sure to slip over the the ATS Blog and check out other samples made using Amy's new sets which will go on sale tonight at 10pm EST!!

HH Challenge #9!!

Well, it's time for another amazing High Hopes Challenge, ladies!!! And this week is a sketch challenge.....you KNOW how much I love sketches!!! Ila created this awesome sketch and I'm sure you'll have fun with it!!!

I pulled out these soft coordinating Sweet Pea papers by Fancy Pants and thought I would use them with the new Matchmakin' Maynard and decided to make a fun Valentine's Day card!

The card base is a 6x6 Pretty in Pink card and I accented across the middle of the dps with So Saffron. I stamped Maynard on Wausau bright white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured him in using Copic markers. I used my oval Nesties to cut out and emboss the main image using Pretty in Pink for the scalloped layer. I added some polka dot ribbon across the center, some white heart brads and some Imaginisce flowers. I used the Wild Thing sentiment, pop dotted the main image and finished it off by adding some sparkle to his wings and hearts with my Spica Clear Glitter pen!!

Be sure to hop on over to the High Hopes blog and check out the inspirational creations from our wonderful Design Team! Then be sure to join in the challenge and you will have a chance to win some awesome High Hopes rubbah!!!

Have a stampin' good day!!!

A Very Hanglar Christmas!!

This is going to be a very quick post today as I am heading in to work all day....on a Saturday!! *ugh*

On my day off this week, I got a chance to play with another new Hanglar, this one I made into a Christmas card! I stamped her on Wausau white using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her with my Copics.

The dp I used is some of my favourite new Christmas paper by My Mind's Eye that I got from Phebe at The Town Scrapper. I added some buttons with embroidery thread, some pink ric rack and some Imaginisce snowflowers and attached them with an Imaginisce brad. I pop dotted the main layer and the sentiment layer, which is a new one from the Whiff of Joy release and finished her off by adding some Stardust Stickles to her hat and the snowline.

Well, I'm sure it's going to be another awesome day at the library...*cough, cough*...but I hope you have a nicer day with some rubber and ink in your hands!!!

Super Stamp Sale.....at MY House!!!

Hey there all you super stampers!!! I just wanted to put up a quick post before I head in to work to let you local ladies (SW Ontario)know about an exciting event!!

If any of you have had the misfortune of seeing my craft room, hopefully you made it out alive!! Haha! It's packed to the rafters and I need to clear some of it out and make some room (.....for more stuff, Christmas is coming, ya know!!!).

Anyway, I will be having a Super Stamp Sale at my house on Sunday, November 30th from 2:30-4pm! There will be woodmounted, clingmounted, unmounted and acrylic stamps.....there will be previously loved stamps and never-been-outta-the-box stamps too! I'm in the midst of compiling all my sale items, so I'm not sure yet of everything that will be available, but for starters I have lots of Stampin' Up, Hanna Stamps, Cats Pajamas, Autumn Leaves, Gel-a-Tins, Penny Black, Stamps Happen, Pink Cat Studios, Anna Griffin, Sunshine Designs, Gina K Designs, Inkadinkado, Verve Visual and so many more!! I may even have some papers, ribbon, embellishments, inks and bits and bobs to sell as well as a 'Dollar Spot'!!!

Sweet Little Lizzie!!

Well, it's officially winter....at least here in Southwestern Ontario!! Yikes! We've had quite a dump of the white stuff in the last couple of days. Yesterday morning was a rather rough one, roadwise but got better later in the day. This morning the roads are better but I just got a call from my husband who may be stuck in a hotel sleeping today because the 401 highway is closed! What fun!

Anyhoo, isn't Lizzie cute?? She reminds me of my daughter when she was a toddler, all bundled up to play outside in the snow. I stamped Lizzie on Wausau bright white cardstock, coloured her in using Copic markers and cut her out with my new Labels One Nesties that I got from All That Scraps. The card base is a 6x6 Pretty in Pink, with My Mind's Eye dp matted on Regal Rose and Lizzie is layered on a piece of Cool Caribbean. I added some glittery pink brads in the corner and the ribbon is so delicious! It is from Chatterbox and I got it at The Town Scrapper. I pop dotted the main layers and added a couple of clear snowflakes by Heidi Swapp and a button that matches the Chatterbox ribbon. I finished it off with some Stardust Stickles on the snow!

These wonderful new stamps are now up on the Whiff of Joy website and I believe there are even some Christmas specials available while supplies last!!!

I'm heading in to work this afternoon but I'm hoping to stamp a bit this morning. Hope you have a stampin' good day!!

A Chorus Line!!

Last weekend was Virtual Stamp Night on Splitcoast and unfortunately I had to work most of the weekend, so I only found the time to play in one challenge. But it was a fun one!!

The challenge was called A Chorus Line and you were supposed to make a design that feature at least three of the same image on the card. Well, I've been dying to play with Georgette Mouse and I thought she would be the perfect size for this creation (or at least the idea that was in my head)!!

So I stamped my adorable ballerina mousey three times on Wausau bright white cardstock and coloured her in using Copic markers in colours that would match the glittery dp from DCWV. Don't you love the chocolate brown with all those pretty pinks and peaches? The card base is Regal Rose and the sentiment is stamped on Pretty in Pink and pop dotted.

I punched out the images with a circle punch and then took my SU pastels (that I haven't had out in about a year) and sponged around the edges of the circles with pink to give them a soft look. Then I arranged the circles in a diagonal line and pop dotted the middle one. I took my clear Spica glitter pen and outlined all their bows, ballerina skirts and shoes so they are sparkly, althought you can't see it in the photos. I finished off the card with a pink satin bow in the corner to echo the cute little bows in their hair! Totally cute, right?

Well, today is my day off, but I have much to do! I have several release projects to work on and of course my sample for the High Hopes Challenge for this coming Sunday. I'm also planning to pick Emileigh up from school this afternoon and take her and her BFF Kelsey shopping! (Of course, then I can take them to Michael's and have them each use a 50% off coupon for me.....well, I gotta get some compensation for driving them everywhere, right?).

Have a super stampy day!!

BCDzyns Blog Hop!!

Today is the BCDzyns Blog Hop and RELEASE from My Favorite Things!! I love blog hops, don't you?? Gettin' a chance to see all the amazing things created by different crafters using the same stamps??? What inspiration!! This new set is called And Then I Said... and it is a riot!

So are you hoppin' from MFT blog to MFT blog??? Or did you arrive here at Kraftin' Kimmie's Korner mid-hop?? If you would like to start from the beginning, just go over to The MFT Lady's blog .....go on.....I'll wait here for ya!! heehee!!

This new set from the BCDzyns line at MFT totally rocks! Or that's what my teenaged daughter might say! The image is another awesome gal (with perfect hair, I might add) and some of the most perfect mix and match sentiments ever!! Now if you have any teenagers in your immediate family or if you have some that you send cards and gifts to, this set is a MUST have!! No kiddin'!

So the card is a regular A2 sized card using Chocolate Chip and the dp is Sweet Always by Stampin' Up. I stamped the main image on Wausau bright white cardstock and coloured her in using my Copic markers and matted her on Regal Rose. I added some of the fabulous Petaloo flowers from the MFT store with a white brad. Then the sentiment is one I made up from the fabulous words and phrases that come with the set. I was totally thinking of Emileigh when I made this one.....this is SO something she would say!! And she laughed when I showed it to her!!

I also made this 6x6 scrapbook page using the same cardstock and dp and it features a wonderful picture of Em and her BFF, Kelsey who is like my second daughter!! I love these girls!! I added some satin chocolate ribbon and the sentiment is perfect for this page!!

Now this awesome set is up on the site and available for purchase RIGHT now!!! No teasin'.......it's really there, right now!!! And there's also a My Favorite Bundle on right now!!! It's got tons of fun goodies!! Go on, you deserve it!!!

Okay, so now it's time to hop on over to Kirsten's Blog and see what she's got goin' on!!!

I {heart} Christmas!!

Haha! I was trying to make a funny.......with this heart-shaped Christmas card!! Magnolia sent me a couple of items to alter and send back to them this month and one was this heart card!!

I just got my new Nesties from All That Scraps, so of COURSE I had to use them!! I stamped Tilda on Wausau bright white cardstock and coloured her in using my Copics. Then I cut her out and embossed her with my new shaped die Nestabilities. Then, while it was still in the die, I sponged around the edge of the image with distress ink. I think it looks super cool, don't you? Everything else on the card was sent to me by Magnolia....love those metallic heart-shaped brads!!

They also sent me this adorable little round paper mache box. So I pulled out my old acrylic paints and sponge brush and painted it vanilla. While it was drying I coloured my special Christmas package using my Copics and then cut it out. I put 'studs' around the top of the box with antique gold brads and pop dotted my package on it. I finished it off by attaching some yummy red lace around the rim and adding a bow!!

These lovelies are on their way to Sweden now! In other Magnolia news, I just received the Winter Stamp Club Kit yesterday and can't wait to mount them and ink them up. Unfortunately, it won't be today as I have to work all day....again!! Sheesh, don't they know I have better (and more fun) things to do??!!

Have a super stampy day and be sure to come back tomorrow for a sneaky peek of the newest BCDzyns stamp set from My Favorite Things!! Take it from me, it's like, totally slammin'!!

You Warm My Heart!!

Today's card features one of the new snowmen from the latest Whiff of Joy release!! I was so excited when they arrived in my mailbox last week and I got them mounted and trimmed over the weekend!!

The Cute Card Thursday challenge for this week is to use red and green on your card! So I pulled out my new Wassail papers by Basic Grey and Herb with his Teacup and got busy!!

The card base is a 6x6 Riding Hood Red square and I used my Copic markers to colour Herb in. I sponged around the main image using distress ink and added sparkle to his buttons and swirls with my Spica clear glitter pen. I added some BG brads, some taffeta ribbon and attached some gorgeous sparkly poinsettias too. The sentiment is also from WOJ!

Well, I got called in to work 9-5pm today....on my day off!! How rude, right?? I had all sorts of stampin' plans....oh well. I'll get a bigger paycheck next week to help with my Christmas shopping (which I haven't even started)!!

Have a super stampy day!!

HH Challenge #8!!

I gotta tell ya!! I've been having SO much fun with my High Hopes stamps and joining in with all the HH challenges over on the blog! I'm so excited to see so many of you playing too!! There's another random prize winner for challenge #8 too, so be sure to join in!! This week's challenge is to use BOTH buttons and brads on your creations!!

I couldn't wait to pull out Stirrin' Milton with his matching sentiment!! I also grabbed my new papers, buttons and brads from the Wassail line by Basic Grey! Perfect for a traditional Christmas card....well, as traditional as you can get with a moose on it!! Heehee!

The card base is Always Artichoke and I used Riding Hood Red for accenting. I stamped Milton on Wausau bright white cardstock and coloured him in with my Copic markers. I attached the dp to the base and added some small brads, stamped the sentiment at the bottom and pop dotted the main layer. Then I finished it off with a couple of coordinating buttons and linen thread.

You HAVE to see the other girls designs.....completely jaw dropping!! I'm not kidding!!

Well, I have the day off and I'm working full time this week, so I'll have to get lots done today....in my craft room as well as the laundry room...*sigh*. Have a wonderful day!!

Hanglar Laundry Girl and a Winner!!

Well, I had a chance to play with another one of my precious Hanglar stamps the other day. It was Wednesday....I remember because the sketch challenge was posted on SCS and I actually got to play!!!

I stamped little Miss Laundry Girl on Wausau bright white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The papers I decided to use for this card were from the Washington Apple dps by Stampin' Up....love 'em. The card base is a 6x6 Riding Hood Red square matted with Bashful Blue. I coloured the image using my Copic markers and I'm actually really happy with the way it turned out.

The sketch is really fabulous and I plan to used it again. I punched the dp out using a square punch and layered them on Pumpkin Pie, added some taffeta ribbon, pop dotted the image and finished it off with some SU buttons and linen thread! Yay!!

Yesterday was a great day off and I completed several projects that were on my list. I made two 6x6 sb pages for MFT, a card and altered box for Magnolia, I mounted all my new Whiff of Joy stamps and made two cards with those!!! What a productive day!! Now today I have to work 9-5pm....another Saturday, sheesh!! But then I have Sunday off....there are a few things I want to get done around the house, but hopefully I'll get to fit in a little stampin'! Have a wonderful Saturday!!!

OH WAIT!! Did you want to know who won Chimney Sweep Charlie?? Well how appropriate is it that Charly won Charlie???? Hahaha!! Charly, send me an email and I'll mail out your stamp this week!!!

Dream BIG!!

Well, I'm up early this morning!! I had PLANNED to sleep in today since I don't have to work....but my dog Daisy, had other ideas!! She thought that I needed to get up at 7:15am so that she could go get a drink!! And now I'm up for the day....

Anyhooooo....today's card features my new Sleepytime Riley stamp, which I won at their release party last month! Isn't he cute?? I made this particular card using a sketch they posted in the Hanna Forum over at SCS. It's a fun and simple sketch...which is perfect for me!

I stamped Riley on Wausau bright white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The dp I used is from the DCWV Nana's Nursery Baby Boy stack, the card base is Blue Bayou and for accents, I used So Saffron and Almost Amethyst. I coloured Riley in using my Copic markers, cut him and embossed him using my Nesties and pop dotted him. The sentiment is by High Hopes and I stamped it on Certainly Celery and then cut it out using my new Double Ended Tag Nesties and attached it with some mini button brads and finished it off by adding some Prima hydrangeas!!

Don't forget that today is your last chance to win some Whiff of Joy blog candy!! Be sure to answer my question in THIS POST!! And I'll post the winner tomorrow!! Have a wonderfully inky day!!
