Well, I mentioned before that the Krafty Girls will be starting to show previews of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps' first release on Friday (yes, this Friday!)...but I think we can share a tiny peek before then...........how's this???

So I hope you can make it out to help me celebrate my new adventure in stamping!!

Let's Meet Kimmie's Krafty Girls!!!

So how would you like to meet the wonderful team of creative gals who are helping me make my stampin' dream come true???? I knew you would!! Let's do this in alphabetical order (Andrea will love that!).

If you follow my blog at all, you will recognize the name Andrea as she is my stampin' soul sistah!! We met about a year ago, and the minute we did, we got along like a house on fire!!! We teach classes together at Scrappin' Great Deals and stamp together when our schedules permit (and sometimes when they don't!). She loves her Copics almost as much as I love mine...she says she's leaving them to her kids in her will! Lucky girls! I'm so happy to have her on my team!

Now please meet my Mommy!!! Diana has been stamping about as long as I have because I pretty much led her down the inky path of papercrafting!! She blames her addiction on me....and I don't mind! She's always been supportive of everything I've ever done in my life and now is no different! She even created her own blog....just for me!! Go say hello!!

You may know Elaine as 'quixotic' over on Splitcoast. She is from the south coast of the UK and has her own online store! Her beautiful Copic work just jumped right off the screen the minute I saw it! She's admitted to being a paper and ribbon hoarder (aren't we all, really?) and is totally addicted to her Copic markers.....she fits right in, methinks!!

And what can I say about Jeanne? She's totally been my right-hand gal and I couldn't have gotten this far with my company without her guidance and support! Not only is she an incredible artist with her gorgeous creations, she's an incredibly generous gal! Jeanne is constantly stamping and colouring and designing.....I'm not sure when or if she really sleeps! I'm so fortunate and grateful for her friendship!!

I've known Niki for a few years now as we have worked together on a couple of design teams. She is a sweet and lovely gal with such a wonderful spirit . When I told Niki that I was starting my own stamp company, she said she would love to help me out by designing with my stamps before she'd even seen them! Of course I was thrilled and jumped right on her offer! She has such a clean and crisp style and I can't wait to see what she designs with the new images!

Again, if you've been around my blog at all, you'll also recognize the name Tara!! We met through our blogs a couple of years ago and finally got to meet up in person when we went to the Copic Certification workshop in Toronto a few months back and that was SO fun ! We also do a Kimmie and Tara's Challenge thing every couple of months, which is always a hoot. Tara's style is so unique and she has such a way with layering and texture and colour. And Tara is in town on business near me this week, so we get to hang out on Thursday night...yaaaaaay!!

Lastly, please meet Vicki!!! If you don't already know her....the girl's a hoot! At least that's what I hear, 'cause we've never met in person. Me, I'm just a wallflower, as you know (*cough*), so I'm not sure how we're gonna get along when we meet later this month....oops! Almost let something slip there.....I'll share more later! Vicki is a fantastic colourer (is that a word?) and cardmaker. Her designs are so sassy!

So as you can see I have a totally AMAZING design team....and I'm thrilled to say they are also my friends (heck, one is even related to me)!! I'm just over the moon that they are all helping me to share my company with you!!

Now show some love for my Krafty Girls!!!!!!!!!

Let's Meet the Artists!!

Thank you SO much for your love and support! I can't tell you how much that means to me! It seems as though you are almost as excited about Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps as I am!!! Well, almost!! Haha!

Today I'd like to introduce you to the totally talented gals behind the images. If you took a good look at the banner I showed you in the last post, you might have recognized her style. I know you've heard her name before, as she's been illustrating in the rubber stamping industry for about four years now. Did you guess Crissy Armstrong?? You're right!

Crissy and I had worked together for about two years on the High Hopes design team. She was the artist and I was the design team coordinator. Well, when Crissy decided to leave them and pursue other avenues earlier this summer, I felt like I should approach her to work on a stamp line with me. I knew that if I didn't ask her, someone else would! When she agreed, I was over the moon and the ball just started rolling!

Crissy has been drawing most of her life, taking lots of art courses through college. She especially loves doing stamp images because she gets to create fun designs which is a joy in itself, but then she gets to see what the stampers create with her images when they add colour and paper and embellishments!! I'm so thrilled to be working with such a sweet and wonderful person and I'm so excited to show you the adorable images she has been working on!!

The second artist for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is Annie Rodrigue!! She is totally new to the stampin' scene but is going to make a huge splash, let me tell you! She is definitely not new to illustrating and
is a 2002 college graduate in classical animation from the Cégep du Vieux Montréal, Annie worked as a freelance illustrator and animator part-time for 4 years, but since November 2006, she decided to take her craft even more seriously by working full-time at home or in studios.

Annie is both a painter of fantasy and an animator at heart and her unique style is going to knock your socks off, I promise! Her designs have such personality and her style is so totally different from anything I've ever seen!

Now, be sure to come back soon and I'll introduce you to the talented design team of Krafty Girls!!!

Kraftin' Kimmie STAMPS!!!

Wow!! You all are such curious gals, aren't you?!! There were many wonderful guesses about my secret.....NO, you won't be hearing the pitter patter of little feet in our house any time soon! Gosh! Don't even joke about that....my daughter is seventeen years old....can you imagine??

Most of your guesses were along the same lines....new Design Team work, working with a new company, developing my own line of paper, card kits on a large scale, my own magazine (super cool idea), organizing a stamping cruise (that WOULD be fun), an 'enabling' secret of some sort....all good guesses!!

But if you guessed that I've started my own company and am producing my own line of stamps.....YOU'RE RIGHT!!!! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh! I've been hanging on to this secret all summer long and it's just about killed me!! And now I can finally shout it from the rooftops!! Woohoooooooo!

It has ALWAYS been a dream of mine to own my own stamp company and create my own line of stamps but I never thought in a million years that it would ever happen! But this summer, my dream started to come to life! With the help of many amazing women in the rubber stamping and papercrafting industry, I have learned so many things .....I think my poor brain is on overload!! But I am now the proud owner of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!!

So you've probably figured out that the random winners from comments on the last post will receive.......some Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!! Hahaa!! Those winners are: ..... Funkelzauber ...... Lily .......and Sarah!! Congratulations and be sure to email me (info down on my sidebar) with your mailing info and I will get your stamps out to you before they are even available to buy!!! hahaaaaaa!

Well, that's enough excitement for one night....I'm glad I was able to share this with you! My heart was just about the burst, I'm tellin' ya!! Be sure to check back in a day or two and I'll share some more information with you....like who my artists are (yes, that was artistS, plural) and who is on my amazingly talented design team!!

But for now, I'm going to leave you with this little teaser......maybe you can figure out who one of my artists is by this adorable banner................

I've Got a Seeeeeecret!!

Okay, so who wants to know a secret?? I know, you ALL do!!! Well, I ain't spillin' the beans just yet!!! But read on!!

So you may have noticed that I haven't been posting as often lately....(I know some of you have noticed because I've heard about it!!!). My daily blurbs and musings have fallen down to twice a week or so. Well, it's not because I don't love ya....and it's not because I'm too busy to be creative! In fact, quite the opposite! I just haven't been able to share it with anyone yet!

I've been workin' on something super secret and SUPER exciting!!! Does anyone want to take a guess???? (And if you've already been diggin' around and know what my secret is, because you're a super sleuth.....don't spill the beans and ruin the surprise for everyone else!!)

Leave me a comment with your guess and I may have a couple of super sweet prizes for some random winners!! I'll be back on Friday sometime with the big news!!

Frightful and Delightful!!

So the kids are back to school now, so it's officially fall. *sigh* I'm sad to see the summer weather go, but I must say, I LOVE autumn. It's my favourite season. AND that also means that Halloween will soon be here!

I've got a superfun Halloween card for ya today, featuring another one of those fun Sugarplum kids by CCDesigns!!! I used this adorable Mummy Trevor image stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah white cardstock. I only used a few Copic markers to colour him...mostly different shades of grey. In case you are curious, I used: E00, E01, C1, C2, C3, C5, C7, E33 and E35.

The card base is a 6x6 black square card by Bazzill and I used a lovely olive green cardstock for matting and accenting. The patterned paper is by Bo Bunny and I added some strips of white cardstock to mimic Trevor's bandages. I added the sentiment from the Autumn Sentiments set and pop dotted everything. I finished it off by adding four glitter brads, one in each corner of the main layer!

This is also another card that I will be teaching in the two Copic classes coming up this month at SGD. The other one I am doing can be seen here. Of course there will be two more for a total of four! Lots of fun with CCDesigns! Be sure to call Sheila to reserve your spot!!

Have a super stampy day!!

What a Hooooot!!

Last night's CCDesigns release party at All That Scraps was a hooooooooot!!! Now all of the September stamps and stamp sets are available for purchase!

Here is another Halloweenie card that I made using Ollie the Owl! I used Basic Black for the base, Summer Sun for matting and some bright green Bazzill for the scalloped circle. I coloured it a while back so don't ask me what Copics I used....I can't remember!!

Well, today is going to be a busy one for sure! The library will be a madhouse the day after a long weekend. I just don't get it.....we were only closed one extra day!! What's wrong with people?

Anyhoo, have a super awesome day!!

CCDesigns Autumn Sugarplums BLOG HOP!!!

Well, good Sunday morning, stampers!! What a treat we have for you today!!! You may have seen some of the fabulous new Autumn Sugarplum stamps from CCDesigns that were released as a kit a while back....well, you will soon be able to purchase them as single images!!!

And since the whole darn design team wanted to show them off to you, we decided to do our very first ever BLOG HOP!!!

If you just happened to land on my blog (because you stop by here every day...hahaha!), you might want to go here to start from the very beginning. Don't worry....I'll wait right here for ya!!! *giggle*

Okay, back now?? Well, on with the show! The card I'm sharing with you today features the lovely Emma Sugarplum, pulling a wagon full of pumpkin!! I stamped her on ATS Copic paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her in with my Copic markers. In case you are interested, the colours I used are: E00, E01, R20, Y21, YR21, E08, E09, YG03, YG25, YR12, YR14, YR18, E25, E27, E31 and E55. OH and of course I used the colourless blender to make the polka dots on her apron.

The card base is a lovely rust colour from Bazzill and the peachy matting is too. The patterned paper is from the Boo To You! line from My Mind's Eye. I added the cute little sentiment, which will also be released on Monday, pop dotted everything and finished the card off by attaching some Prima flowers with antique copper brads!!

Now if you are one of my lovely Copic marker students, this card is one that we will be making at the September class! Be sure to call Sheila to reserve your spot at either of the two classes we have scheduled!!

As you are hopping from blog to blog, don't forget to comment!! One random commenter will be chosen to win the ENTIRE Autumn Sugarplums stamp collection!! So be sure to leave a comment on EACH blog to increase your chances of winning some awesome rubbah!!!

I {heart} CANDY!!

I've got another CCDesigns sneaky peekaroo for ya today! This one is from a set called Halloween Candy and was designed by one of the new artists, Diem Pascarella!

Doesn't Kitty look like she's excited about going trick or treating?? I think she {hearts} candy, don't you?? Haha!!

I stamped the image on Neenah white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her in using my Copic markers. Here are the colours I used: C5, C7, E53, E55, E50, R01, E57, YR14 and YR18. The card base is Basic Black and I used Tangerine Tango and Elegant Eggplant for matting. The designer paper is by Little Yellow Bicycle and I added some sheer orange and black polka dotted ribbon. I sponged around the main image using Elegant Eggplant ink and added a trio of orange rhinestones along the bottom right edge. I stamped the sentiment on TTango cardstock and punched it out with my oval punch and pop dotted everything!!

Be sure to hop over to the ATS Blog and check out the other lovely projects that the design team made for your viewing pleasure! And while you're there, leave a comment and you might when the set!

Well, Emileigh and I are off on a little road trip today. My parents just came back this week from a trip out west to a wedding. They did a bunch of sightseeing and stuff along the way and we can't wait to check out all the pictures I'm sure they'll have to show us. So we are going to spend the day with them!

Happy stampin'!!

Ollie and Griselda!!

Is it time for Hallowe'en images already??? Yes, it is!! Today begins the sneak peeks for the September stamps from CCDesigns!!

The set I'm featuring today is called Ollie and Griselda and it was designed by Diane Zechman! There are so many cute stamps in this set along with some fabulous Halloweenie sentiments!!

Griselda is this fabby witch and Ollie is her owl and today they are out for a spin on her broom! I stamped the image on white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured them in with my Copic markers. I used: NO, C1, C5, C7, YR16, YR18, Y23, Y35, E31, E33, E35, E37, G20, BV04 and BV08.

I used my Nesties to cut them out and emboss them. The card base is a 6x6 Basic Black square and I punched a few bats out using a Martha Stewart bat punch. I added a sentiment and some orange polka dotted sheer ribbon to finish them off!

Be sure to check out the ATS blog all week for awesome samples from the super duper Design Team!!
