The December Krafty Blog Hop!!!

Well, most of you probably know that today is the release of Kraftin' Kimmie's December images!! Yes, we know it's still November but we wanted to help you get a jump on ordering any gifts for the papercrafters on your holiday list this year!! (Even if it is yourself!)

If you'd like to start the hop from the very beginning (trust me, you don't want to miss any of the stops!), you can do that by starting at the Challenge Blog! It's an especially long hop with all the Krafty Girls and several Krafty Friends hoppin' along with us, to give you just a taste of the beautiful creations you can make with our new images!!

These first little cuties are called Lucy and Ricky and they were designed by Crissy! I think they are just adorable and perfect for a lovey card, whether it be for the big V-day or an anniversary card! The image actually comes with the bonus sentiment stamp that I've used on the card. I used some Daisy Bucket patterned papers, Bazzill Bling cardstock and attached some lovely Prima hydrangeas with a rhinestone brad. And well, you KNOW I used my Copics!! heehee!

Next, we've got another awesome design by Crissy and I'd like you to meet Bonnie and Clyde! Have you ever thought about how these porcupines might give each other a little kiss?? Haha! Veeeeery carefully! And do you love the sentiment....I'm Stuck On You! How fun!

I used some Doodlebug papers (I think...they are from my stash) and just love this colour combo! I added some heart punches, some velvet ric rack and of course, some more Prima flowers!

Lastly, I want to show you an odd little character that I think will become a fast favourite!! Her name is Drucilla and she is from the quirky mind of artist Annie Rodrigue! (If you followed the hop in order, you will have just hopped over here from Annie's blog! Did you see her first ever card creation?? Awesome, huh?!)

I used Drucilla with my Blush papers by Basic Grey. I coloured her with my Copic markers and used some Bazzill Bling cardstocks. I distressed all the paper edges with ink and added this absolutely decadent chocolate ruffled ribbon!! I finished this design off by adding the sentiment Mad About You (perfect, right?) from the new Kimmie's Sassy Sentiments set.

All the images and sentiments are now up on the website and available! This is the last stop on today's Krafty Hop! Wasn't it over the top amazing??? Now don't forget to leave a comment at every blog, because three lucky random winners will be getting some of the new release rubbah!!!

Now hop on over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Store and pick up some of the new images....ya know ya wanna!!! Hehe.

Winter Sugarplums Blog Hop!!

The Winter Sugarplums stamp release is so large the entire team is participating in a blog hop to give all of you just a taste of the fabulous creations you can make with these stamps!

If you didn't start the hop from the beginning, you might want to, by starting here.

I've actually made two cards to share with you on this CCDesigns blog hop!! First off we have the lovely Emma, who is all dressed up in her winter wear! I thought she would look great in the fun colours from the My Mind's Eye papers! I used Bazzill cardstocks and of course, my Copic markers to colour her up! I added some of the diecuts from the paper pack and some scrumptious ribbon! I finished the card off by making the snow she is standing on all sparkly with some Stardust Stickles!

The second card uses Trevor with his ornaments! I pulled out some retired SU papers from last year and coloured the image accordingly using my Copics...again! The cardstocks are all SU and I attached some sparkly fabric snowflakes with snowflake brads and then added one of the new sentiments!!

Don't forget to comment! ONE random comment from one of the blog hop posts will be chosen to win the ENTIRE Winter Sugarplums stamp collection!! So make sure to leave a comment on each post to increase your chances of winning!

Now you can continue on the blog hop by heading over to Lesa's blog! I know she has lots of fun stuff to show ya!!

Be sure to check out my second post today with another awesome blog hop for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!

Introducing Jean Grant!! AND Cindy and Mindy!!

I am so thrilled to introduce you to the newest artist to join the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps team of illustrators!! Her name is Jean Grant and she has such a unique style! As soon as I saw her drawings of her main characters, Cindy and Mindy, I fell in love....and you will too!!

Drawing from a very young age, Jean watched her sister and her mothering love of her beloved bear, Mindy. Jean on the other hand was more of a tomboy. Not having a 'motherly' bone in her body. She was more interested in playing baseball, fishing, building things, and hanging out with the guys. Girls were boring, and too prissy for her. And while her sister was having tea parties with her bear and stuffed animals, Jean would sit for hours under her favorite Dogwood tree and draw and paint.

Cindy is a sweet little girl that is a blend of both her sister and herself (Jean). She has unusually long legs and unkempt braids. At times, one of them may not even be a braid. All frazzled and stringy. She is usually sporting Mary Janes, and her favorite colors are red, blue and green. She is both a little 'prissy' and a little 'tomboyish'. . .but NEVER without her bear Mindy.

We are releasing two of Jean's images tonight, along with 4 by Annie Rodrigue, 4 from Crissy Armstrong and 2 fabulous sentiment sets.

The first image I worked with is the adorable Daddy's Little Girl! I stamped Cindy and Mindy on Neenah white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her in with my Copic markers. The papers I used are from Pebbles Inc. and the cardstock is Bazzill and SU. I used my D'vine Swirls embossing folder and Apron Lace border punch. I used my Nesties to cut out and emboss the main image, added some Prima flowers, some celery twill and pop dotted everything. Daddy's Little Girl comes with the sentiment that I used, Beary Special Friend, as well as Thanks!

The second image we are releasing is called Small Talk and I think it is just precious! Cindy and Mindy are having a little chat with their feathered friend! It comes with the sentiment I used, You're Tweet!, as well as the sentiment Happy Birdday!! I used all Bazzill Bling cardstocks, some frilly ribbon and another border punch. I attached some big Prima flowers with a large glitter brad and pop dotted everything again!

I know you will love these fun images by Jean as much as I do!!

Don't forget to come back tomorrow for an awesome December Release Blog Hop and check out a bunch more samples using the new images AND you'll have a chance to win some of the new images!!! The fun starts over at the Challenge Blog tomorrow morning!!

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #8!!

How precious is she??? This is the second image drawn by the talented Crissy Armstrong that was inspired by my gorgeous daughter, Emileigh!! I just can't stop looking at her!!

Today's card is not only a preview of one of our soon-to-be-released Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, but it also does double duty for two challenges!! This week's challenge on the KKS Challenge Blog is brought to us by Crissy Armstrong herself! She calls it Touchy Feely and wants lots of textures on our designs! So pull out your flock, your flower soft, distressing tools, embossing folders...etc.!

Also this is my last week of sponsoring the challenges over at Crazy4Challenges and their challenge is called Punch Happy....so I made the flowers on this design using punches! Oh and be sure to check out their challenge blog, as several of the gals have made samples using some of our new stamps as well!!

So this is Gift Emmylou and she comes with the bonus sentiment stamp that I used on this card too!! I used kraft cardstock and some retired SU designer papers that were super fun to rough up with my distressing tool. I coloured Emmylou using my copic markers, of course! then I sponged around her and distressed some more. (I will come back and post the colours in the morning....it's 2am right now and I'm knackered!)

I'll be back later today with another post to tell you about a brand new artist that we have on board at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!! I can't wait to share all about her AND show you some samples made with the two images we are releasing from her this month!!! heehee!!

Krafty Previews....Day One!!

Are ya ready??? Ready for some new stamps??? I know you are!!! Today is day one of the Krafty Previews for the December Release of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!

All the members of the Krafty Girls Design Team are just dying to share the amazing new images with you!! And I've got THREE to show you myself today!!

Now Crissy and I have been working on a couple of images inspired by my daughter Emileigh, from when she was a little girl! And today I'm showing you the first one! Her name is Shy Emmylou! (That's what we always used to call her, well not the shy part..she definitely wasn't that. The Emmylou part....in fact I often call her Emmylou-hoo....especially at Christmas time!) I just adore this precious image of my little girl and Crissy has done such a wonderful job making her come to life...and I LOVE the way she's done the eyes, don't you????

In case you are interested, the Copic colours I used are: E000, E00, R20, E51, E53, E55, Y28, B91, V09, BV20 and BV23. Shy Emmylou also comes with the sentiment You're So Special!

Next up, I have two adorable images from Annie!!! These Moonlight Whispers girls are only two of four of the images we have for you this month!!

First up is Yvette who is the perfect girl for spring!! She comes with a flower accessory stamp and two sentiments....Happy Spring! and Happy Everything! She is a bit bigger than the other stamps and is soooo much fun to colour!! The Copic colours I used are: E000, E00, R20, E34, E37, E31, G40, G82, YG99, Y38, R39, BV02 and BV04.

Next is the lovely Josephine!!! She is using her fancy love potion to ensure that she has a wonderful Valentine's Day!! haha!! I just love this image....she's so fun!!! Didn't Annie do a fantastic job?? She comes with a love potion accessory stamp as well as two fun sentiments....I Love You and Love Potion #9!

I also used one of the awesome new phrases that goes just right with this image! It's from the new Kimmie's Sassy Sentiments set that has over 20 super sentiments...with a little edge!! It includes things like I am Woman Hear Me Roar, I've Been Bad, I'm Tempted to Cause a Scene and Here Comes Trouble!! They are a hoot, let me tell ya!!

Don't forget....all these amazing images and sentiments will be available on Sunday, in time for Christmas shopping!!!

Anyhoo, hope you enjoyed today's delectable delights and that you'll come back tomorrow for MORE!! Also, you can check out all the Krafty Girls' blogs today for more snippets of amazing new images!!!

Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge #7!!

This week my Mom is the super special hostess!! I love that we share this love of papercrafting and we can do it together...and this week, we did!! She came to our house and stayed for a couple of days! We did lots of fun stuff, got some Christmas shopping done and we got to colour together! So fun!!

Anyhoooo, Mom decided that this week her challenge would be a theme challenge....Merry Christmas, Happy Winter!! Well, I know I'm waaay behind on my Christmas card makin'....aren't you? Well, if you're not behind and you've got your cards all done....well, I just don't wanna know ya!! hahahahaaaaaaa! No, if you'd rather, you can make a wintery card instead!

SO for my holiday card, I chose to use the ever so elegant, Holly! I used Bazzill cardstocks and some rich, glittery patterned paper from last year...I think it's from Sandylion. I stamped Holly on Neenah smooth white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her with my Copic markers! You're shocked, I know!! The colours I used are: E000, E00, E50, E51, E53, BG96, R39 and R89. I sponged all around the main image using some chalk ink and a sponge dauber. I added some lovely shiny ribbon and a flourish of rhinestone bling! I attached a few layers of poinsettia flowers with some Basic Grey brads and added the sentiment at the bottom!

Now Holly is a special gal from the Moonlight Whispers line. Because not only does she come with a bonus holly accessory stamp, but she also comes with TWO sentiments....Holiday Wishes and Peace & Joy!!

Be sure to hop on over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge Blog and check out all the gorgeous designs that the Krafty Gals have to share! Then go ahead and make your own and you could win some yummy rubber goodness!!

Have a wonderful weekend!!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Challenge #6!!!

This week we have a challenge that will have you going round and round in circles!!! Haha! We'd like you to use CIRCLES on your card.....one, two or ten! We don't care how many, just make sure that circles are the main focus of your design!!

For my card, I chose to spotlight Clara in my round Nesties! I stamped her on Neenah smooth cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her in with my Copic markers. I used E00, E42, E43, YG93, YG95, B52, B91, B93, B95, and B97. The fun winter papers I used are by Pebbles Inc. I made the 6x6 card base from Old Olive and accented with Blue Bayou and Not Quite Navy. I used my new Scallop Dot punch on the bottom of the middle strip and added some lovely green ribbon and tied it in a bow.

I was also sure to add some acetate to this card as that is this week's challenge at Crazy4Challenges!! The lovely, sparkly snowflakes are acetate, covered in glitter and I attached them with silver glitter brads. I pop dotted the main image and Bob's yer uncle...I'm done!!

Be sure to hop on over to the Kraftin' Kimmie challenge blog and check out the Krafty Girls' amazing creations and then play with some circles yourself. If you do, be sure to link it up in the comment section of this week's post and if you upload it to an online gallery, be sure to use the keyword KKSC6, so we can all check 'em out!! Who knows....you could be a Krafty winner!

Have a super Saturday!!

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #5! - Stitch It Up!!

Today's post is a doubly fun one because my card meets two awesome challenges!!!

Firstly, today is our 5th challenge over at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps challenge blog and our hostess this week is talented gal, Niki Estes!! She has asked us to whip out our sewing machines....or our white gel pens if you wanna do some faux stitching....and Stitch It Up!!

ALSO, KKStamps is this month's featured sponsor over at the happenin' Crazy4Challenges challenge blog!!! Woohoo!! Their challenge this week is to make an easel card! I must admit, I'd never made one of these babies until Vicki told me about them! It was really quite easy and what a charming creation to give to someone!! It's like a little piece of art to display!!

So I decided to use my girl Charlotte and I coloured her up using the colours from this pretty My Mind's Eye paper. Sorry, I didn't keep track of the markers this time....shame on me. I stitched up the dp onto the orange cardstock (in case my sewing machine ate my paper, it wouldn't ruin the whole card if I just sew a piece of it...hehe.). I added a strip across the middle, some prima flowers with glitter brads and then attached the whole thing to the base. I sponged around the edge of Charlotte and matted her twice, then pop dotted her.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment from Kimmie's Everyday Sentiments on a die cut and attached it. Then did up a little button/linen thread bow combo to keep the main part of the card up for display!! Pretty, huh?

So there are two fun challenges for you to play with this week...stitching and an easel card and both challenges could win ya some Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!! Woohoo!!

Well, I'm off to work all day at the library today. Hope you have a better day than I will! *sigh*

Cute Card Thursday!!!

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is proud to be this week's sponsor for the Cute Card Thursday challenge!! Woohoo!!

I have to admit that this was a toughie for me. The challenge this week is Primary Colours....which I'm not known to use very often. So I dug through my (copious amounts of) patterned paper and found this wonderful Cosmo Cricket paper which has all those colours in it!

I stamped Posy on Neenah white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her with my Copic markers. The colours I used are: E000, E00, R27, R29, E30, E31, G82, YG03, BG000, BG72, Y23 and Y26.

The cardstocks are Stampin' UP and Bazzill and the patterned papers are from the Early Bird line. I added some stitched grosgrain ribbon and attached some Prima flowers with red buttons and linen thread. I also attached a tag which I cut out with my Nesties and the sentiment is from the Kimmie's Everyday Sentiments set!

A couple of the Krafty Girls have played along with the challenge too! Mom used Oliver and Elaine used Francesca!!

Be sure to hop over to the Cute Card Thursday blog and check out what their DT gals have made and then be sure to join in the challenge! You could be the random winner of some Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!

Spreadin' the Love Blog Hop!!

Today I am taking part in a very important Blog Hop....to Spread the Love for Jaimie.

"On October 4
th, 4 teenagers armed with knives broke into a home in a small town in New Hampshire. Alone and sleeping inside were a mother and her 11 year old daughter. These 4 boys broke into this home with the intent to rob and kill anyone inside. They stabbed the mom, Kimberly Cates, to death and left her daughter, Jaimie, for dead in their driveway. It was a completely random act, their home was chosen only due to its secluded surroundings."

Our hope is that everyone hopping around today will stop for a moment and think about Jaimie and her father and what life must be like for them now. One moment in time has changed their lives forever. We are asking that everyone reading this message please take a moment to make a card and send it off to Jaimie. You can make something very simple or much more involved, but please share some words of hope and love and let her know that people care and are thinking of her. Please send your card to the address below:

Jaimie Cates
c/o Mont Vernon Fire Station
Main Street
Mont Vernon, NH 03057

I designed this card for Jaimie with the most girlie, sparkly, pretty things I could think of! I think Antoinette looks so joyful and full of happiness and the colours are perfect for a little girl. I hope the glitter and sparkles and bows bring just a tiny smile to her face.

If you would like to start the hop from the beginning, head over to Katharina's blog. And when you are done here, you can hop over to my good pal, Cammy's blog! Then when you reach the end of the blog there will be a challenge. One that will make you feel so good inside and will send love and hugs to one very hurt little girl. I am so proud to be one of the sponsors of this challenge. When you get there, you can read all about Jaimie and all about the details of the challenge.

Love,
Kimmie

Okay, my first card today is probably my favourite Moonlight Whispers image this month!! Her name is Clara!! She's so sweet and elegant....I love her hair and her outfit is so much fun to colour! She comes with the birdie accessory stamp that I used at the bottom too!! The sentiment is from the new Kimmie's Holiday Sentiments set.....it has over 40 awesome phrases!

I used some Stampin' Up designer papers and cardstock, my Copics of course and I sponged around the edge of the main layer. I added some lovely green ribbon, some brads and pop dotted everything, including the little birdie. The Copic colours I used were: E000, E00, E11, R20, BG72, BG75, BG78, E41, E42, E43, E44, E47, R37, R89, YG93, YG95 and YG99

Next up is a super sweet new penguin image and his name is Oliver!! Don't you just wanna pinch his little cheeks??? He's one of the new Crissy Armstrong winter images and I looooove him!! I used some Pebbles Inc. designer papers, navy cardstock and my oval Nesties. I coloured him with my Copics and here are the colours: C1, C2, C3, C5, C00, Y32, YG93, YG95, B91 and B93. I pop dotted everything and added some gorgeous, swirly rhinestone bling!! AND he comes with the perfect sentiment stamp....Just Chillin'!

Lastly is my girl, Piper!! Another one of the fantastic Moonlight Whisper gals by Annie Rodrigue! She looks just like me.....if I lost a few pounds (like, more than a few) and wore a dress (which I NEVER do) and had a really cool winter hat (I don't do hats)....so pretty much the only part of Piper that is like me, is her coffee cup!! Bahahahahaaaaaa! Whatever! I digress....ain't she a hoot?! And she also comes with a fun coffee cup accessory stamp!

I used my new My Mind's Eye designer papers from the Colorful Christmas collection! I love how they are not traditional holiday colours. I used Stampin' Up and Bazzill cardstocks, my Apron Lace border punch, my new super cool Nesties and some fun glittery snowflakes and brads! I coloured Piper using my Copics....o' course and here are the colours I used: E000, E00, E11, R20, E42, E43, E44, R83, R85, RV19, YG23, YG25, BG18, YR12, YR07 and BG000.

I sponged the edges of Piper's main layer while it was still in the Nesties frame....gives it such a soft look. I also added some rose grosgrain ribbon and attached one of the die cut tags with silver cord. The sentiment is another fun one from the new Holiday Sentiments set!!

So all these new Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, along with all the others you've been checkin' out over the last few days are NOW available at the store!! Woohoo!! No more waitin'!!

And noooooooow you can hop on over to the next blog on the Krafty Hop, which is Vicki's!! I'm sure she's got something gorgeous to show you!!!

Happy hoppin'!!
