Monochromatic Seraphina!

Today's Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge is to make a Monochromatic creation!!  I have been dying to colour up the lovely Seraphina for some time now!!  I think she is my favourite of the new Angels by Annie Rodrigue!!

I decided that I would use neutral colours for everything except those cute, pudgy birdies!!  The card base is a 5.5 inch square of kraft cardstock and the patterned paper is a single sheet from My Mind's Eye.

I coloured up Seraphina with my Copic markers and cut her out using a circle Nestabilies set and then cut out the scalloped circle to go around her in Pool Party by SU, which is such a nice soft colour.  I pulled out the matching ribbon that goes with it and layered it over some fancy lace trim.  Using a large brad, I made the bow to go on top.  I also used my new fancy flourish die but found it difficult to not only get out of the die itself but to find some adhesive to hold it down properly.  I used my quickie glue pen but it didn't seem to hold it too well.  I'll have to do some research on that to find something better because I love the die itself!

Lastly, I sparkled up the little birdies a bit by dotting some glitter with my Stardust gel pen and smudging it around with my finger.  Also I added it to her wings!  So soft and pretty...I love the way it turned out!

Hope on over to the KKS challenge blog and check out the Monochromatic marvels that the other Krafty Girls have to share!  Then grab your stamps and join us for this fun challenge!!!

Happy kraftin'!

The End of the Krafty HOP!!

Well, you've reached the final stop on today's Krafty HOP!! (In case you just happened here today and you wanna start the hop from the beginning, head over to the Challenge blog!)  And I have one more creation to share!!!

For my card I used one of Emilie Goulet's awesome new Winter Wonderland stamps!!  This one is called Chillin' with My Peeps!  Isn't it just the sweetest image?  The snowman and those pudgy little birdies have such personality!!

I stamped it on Neenah white cardstock with Memento ink and coloured it up with my Copic markers.  The papers I used are from the Echo Park 'Tis the Season collection and are so colourful and bright!  The finished card is 5.5 square and has a kraft base.  I added some green baker's twine across the middle and hung a snowflake charm.  Lastly I added the sentiment that comes with the image!!!  SO cute!!

Now, head on over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Shop because ALL the new stamps (along with the Gimme Kimmies Kits) are NOW AVAILABLE!!!!

Happy kraftin'!

C'mon, C'mon...Rock That Body!!!

Heehee!  Love that song!!  Today I have an awesome new ANNIE image to share with you and it goes right along with this week's Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge!!!  All the Krafty Girls have new stamps to share and you are gonna LOVE 'EM!!

This month, Annie has designed the perfect stamps for YOU and ME!!!  It's the EVERYDAY GIRLS Collection!  These saucy girlies could be any of us, doing everyday things!!  Going to a birthday party, shoveling snow, having a BAD hair day, SHOPPING, working out and going out on the town!!!  Just wait 'til you see them ALL as you hop around the Krafty Girls' blogs today!!  And don't forget to leave comments at every stop because TWO lucky comments are going to WIN some NEW ANNIES!!!

The challenge this week is a sketch by my PRECIOUS PAM!!!  heehee!  Love the layout and it has one of my favourite elements.....a circle!!  And the layout fits our stamps perfectly!!  Hope you can play along!

I used the new MISSY stamp....love this workout girl!!  Wish I looked that pretty when I work out....sigh.  I used some new papers from the Garden Girl collection by Bo Bunny!  Just love those colours!  I stamped Missy on Neenah white cardstock with Memento ink and coloured her up with my Copic markers!!  I used my new Nesties for the circle layer and I wish they came a bit bigger in size but the edging is nice on it.  I followed along with Pam's sketch, added some brown glitter dots in the corners and finished it off with the fun sentiment that comes along with Missy!!

Now go and check out the other FIVE new images from Annie!!  I bet you find they look a lot like you and your friends!!!  Heehee!!  And be sure to come on back tomorrow for our Krafty Release Day HOP when all the new stamps will be available in the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Shop!!!

Happy kraftin'!

Making a Friend!! Krafty Peeks...Day TWO!

Today the Krafty Girls are sharing peeks featuring the new October stamps by the lovely Emilie Goulet!!!  This month she's created five adorable stamps featuring some animals that are having a lot of snowtime fun in her WINTER WONDERLAND collection!!  Check out all of them in today's hop....they are so full of expression and personality!

My card features the new Making Freinds stamp!!  Is this little squirrel just the cutest?!  The determination on his face, mixed with the joy of playing in the snow!  (Can't say that's the look that you'll find on my face when I'm knee deep in the white stuff in my driveway!)  He's just having a ball building that snowman!!

I stamped him on Neenah cardstock using Memento ink and coloured him up with my Copic markers.  The papers I used are from the Echo Park Season's Greetings 6x6 pad and I coloured the scarf to match the plaid pattern on the paper.  I wanted the image to be the focal point of the card, so I didn't get too fancy with the layout or the embellishments.  I just added a poinsettia with leaves attached with a glitter brad and the sentiment I used comes with Skiing Miles and I put it on a little flag and added a couple of red rhinestones.  That's it!!  But I love the way it turned out!

Head on over to the KKStamps Challenge Blog and see who else has stuff to share today!  Be sure to leave comments too, because tomorrow we'll announce one lucky stamper who will WIN all FIVE of these new stamps!!  And don't forget that they'll ALL be available at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp Shop on SUNDAY!!

Happy kraftin'!!

A Cup of Cozy Wishes!! Krafty Peek Time!

I can't believe we're over halfway through October already!!  And the weather has really started to turn here in Ontario!  Brrr!  The only good thing about time moving so quickly is that it's once again time for NEW Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!

We are starting this month's Krafty Peeks off with some adorable Snowpeople stamps from Cheryl Alger!!  There is a cute little trio of fluffy winter friends to share today....and you will see them all as you hop around to the Krafty Girls' blogs today!  The entire list of stops is over at the Challenge Blog!  Be sure to leave comments at each and every stop too, because one lucky stamper will win the whole trio of today's stamps!!!  EEEEEEEE!

Now, I have to preface my card unveiling with the fact that I'm sick.  So because I've been under the weather for over a week now (not to mention completely wiped out from our Krafty Day event over the weekend), I'm not really thrilled with the way my card turned out.  But hey, it doesn't have any cough syrups stains or kleenex debris on it, so let's call it a win!!

The stamp I used is called A Cup of Cozy Wishes and comes with the coordinating sentiment!  I just love the scarf and skirt on this snowlady, not to mention the gigantic cup of hot chocolate with whipped cream on top!!!  Mmmmmm!  I stamped her up on Neenah cardstock and coloured her up with my Copic markers.

The patterned paper I used is from the new Holly Jolly Christmas 6x6 pad from Echo Park....such fun colours!  I used bright pink cardstock and matching wrinkled ribbon across the middle.  I cut out and embossed the image with my Nesties and sponged around the frame while it was still in the die.  Then I added some Stardust Stickles on the snow and on her hat pompom.  I really love the layers of snowflakes cut from glitter paper and attached with a red glitter brad.  Lastly I stamped the sentiment on the bottom!

These stamps, along with all the other new ones we'll be sharing this week, will be available on SUNDAY at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Shop!!

Come on back tomorrow to check out the new stamps from Emilie Goulet!  Get ready for more winter fun!!

You've Got the Power!!!!

I'm SO thrilled that Taylor Usry asked me to be a part of the Hope You Can Cling To event over at Splitcoast!!  Have you heard about it?

Splitcoaststampers is proud to partner with the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center for our second annual month long card drive to benefit those affected by breast cancer.

Whether your stamps cling to acrylic, wood, or to your hard drive, they hold the power to convey hope and lift the spirits of anyone who sees what you create with them. That is the inspiration for our “Hope You Can Cling To” stamping campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Many in our community have been affected by breast cancer, directly or indirectly. We would love for each of the patients at the UT MD Anderson cancer center and their families to feel this same encouragement and inspiration and we know this community always rises to a challenge.

There are special challenges throughout the month with wonderful prizes and I'm so happy to be a part of it!!

My card is a sample for Taylor's challenge which is called Fight Like a Girl and the challenge is to use lots of girlie embellishments like ribbon, lace, flowers, pearls etc.  And I thought, what better image to use than our Janelle!!

I used the yummy new Bo Bunny papers because I simply adore this colour combo!  I coloured Janelle up using coordinating Copic markers and added some sparkle to her pink 'do' using my Spica glitter pen.  I added some chocolate lacey ribbon, some pink felt flowers and some lovely pearls!!  Lastly, I added one of the awesome sentiments that come with Janelle!!

I think it's the perfect combination of strength (because we all know women can deal with anything) and femininity!!!  Gotta be girlie!!

I hope you can join in the fantastic HYCCT challenges!!  Here is the direct link to this challenge!! And if you happen to join in this challenge.....please let me know over here at my blog by clicking on the little blue froggie and sharing your card!  If you do, YOU could be one of the random winners of the prizes I'm giving away!!!  Would you like to win a JANELLE!!?!!  I'll give away TWO of them......so let's see what you've got!!!  You have a week to join in!!
